We can never guarantee the weather, however…
Located in the heart of Moray with the Cairngorm mountains as a backdrop Forres enjoys a distinct microclimate.
Moray experiences significantly less rainfall than the average in Scotland and even England. In fact, it is reported that Moray records only 42% of the average national rainfall.
Moray is known for being one of the sunniest regions in the UK. In fact, there’s more sunshine in Moray than in London for significant periods of the year.
Moray tends to be warmer than most of Scotland and even parts of the UK. The Grampian mountains create a rain shadow, sheltering the Moray region from prevailing southwesterly winds.
