A wonderful parkland golf course with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside from the Cairngorm Mountains to Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth. The course is maintained to a very high standard with a great reputation for the condition of the greens in particular.

The first hole is a par 4 down onto the fairway below with out-of-bounds all along the right. The front nine is the shorter nine and is characterised by tighter fairways and tree lined holes with lots of variety. The back nine is longer, but with a lower Par than the front it can be a real challenge. With a series of parallel holes from 11 to 14 there is room to open the shoulders a bit before the narrow drive on 15.
Then it is on to the signature 16th, a tree lined shortish par 4 played from an elevated tee and over the Pond to a well guarded green, a true risk/ reward hole. On a good day longer hitters might fancy going for it off the tee. A short Par 3 follows with danger all around the green before a testing final hole. A well placed drive and accurate distance on approach are required to reach the 18th green, beautifully set in a hollow below the Clubhouse with danger behind and that Pond lurking beyond for the serious over hitters.
