We are delighted to share some fantastic news – Forres Golf Club’s Handicap Team have been crowned champions of the Moray & Nairn Handicap League for the first time since 2015!

On Super Sunday (31st August), Forres secured a 5–3 victory over Nairn Golf Club, while Elgin Golf Club were held to a 4–4 half with Nairn Dunbar. These results meant Forres finished top of the league on 8 points, narrowly edging out Elgin, who finished on 7 points.

This is a tremendous achievement, and we would like to congratulate every player involved for their effort and commitment throughout the season.

A special thanks goes to our Handicap League Captain, Robert Mackinnon, for his leadership. Robert has also asked us to pass on his gratitude to all team members, with particular thanks to Andrew Stables and Steven Fraser for their support when difficult team selections had to be made.

This has truly been a team effort, and we are proud to see Forres GC back on top after 9 years.
