As I am sure you will be aware the First Minister made a significant announcement yesterday afternoon confirming that Scotland will now move into Phase 2 of the easing of the lockdown restrictions. Included in the immediate changes to the current lockdown measures was a relaxation in the number of households which we can now meet, and you can now meet people from up to two other households outdoors. Following this update from the Scottish Government and the weekly review of our protocol document I am delighted to write to you this morning with the relaxation of some of the restrictions currently in place at Forres Golf Club.

• Member and visitor tee times are limited to a maximum of four ball games only. All tee times must not include players from more than 3 households regardless of group size. Effective from 19/06/2020

• Members will only be allowed to book one tee time per day and up to 7 days in advance only. Effective from 22/06/2020 (This will mean that tee times for Thursday 25th June – Sunday 28th June will become available on Monday 22nd June).

• Visitors will only be allowed to book one tee time per day and up to 5 days in advance to allow members priority to booking tee times. Effective from 22/06/2020 (This will mean that tee times for Thursday 25th June – Sunday 28th June will become available on Tuesday 23rd June).

Golf Course Opening

28th May 2020 By Golf Shop

We are aware that many residents of the Forres community have been using our golf course as a place of exercise since the lockdown measures were introduced on the March 23rd 2020. We hope that you have enjoyed our picturesque setting and thank you for being respectful of the hard work which preparing our golf course takes throughout.

This afternoon it was confirmed that our golfers can return to the golf course on May 29th as part of phase 1 of the governments COVID-19 route map. It is important for all members of our community to be aware that the golf course will now become very busy for the foreseeable future. All members of our community are reminded to be aware of golfers and that all dogs should remain on leads when walking across the golf course.

Everyone involved at Forres Golf Club take great pride in the fact we have a facility which can be enjoyed by all in our local community. If you are interested in joining Forres Golf Club we currently have a number of memberships available, including a social membership for non-golfers. Protocol for the Re-Introduction of Golf

22nd May 2020 By Sean Blacklaw

Having received the guidance notes from Scottish Golf with regards to the safe reopening of the golf course I am delighted to attach the Protocol for the Re-Introduction of Golf at Forres Golf Club.
This document contains the policies and procedures which will be in place for our return to golf. All the policies and procedures will be under constant review and will always be subject to updated advice from the government and Scottish Golf. We hope that following the safe re-introduction of golf at Forres Golf Club we will be able to relax certain measures but at the moment the health and safety of our golfers and staff is of paramount importance and has been the factor which has driven a number of the policies and procedures in place.
